This is how we play football during 30 minute recess time when I was 10. I didn't realize I had some first hand experience in Blue Lock training philosophy. Just pure chaos on the field.

I played football the exact same in my recess and gym class times as well. It was a game we called "Victory", bcs we all aimed to score goals individually for Victory. The name was not super good, since we were children, but it made sense to us then :))))

This type of game releases your wild instincts and EVERYONE can be the scorer if they have what it take and if they CAN do it! That is all the secret, it is situational and based on timing and of course skill, but the skill should already be a ticked box for you if you want to be a striker! ;)

Exactly...soccer was our friendgroups game...it started out pretty much like "Soccer from zero"...everyone is a striker...but then eventually we all adapted a position we can play as.

it's more like vectors alignment, everyone focus on their own striker skill theyre good at and move in one direction instead using it against each other.

There is no where saying that just bcs you have to be the strongest that the others shouldn't help you. Problem is that everyone sees everything as black or white. If you are egotistic, then you shouldn't work in teams (which is correct), but teamwork should also come to the egotist (which is also correct). If you find that perfect balance and a skill that will convince the team to call you 'indispensable', then you are golden in this game. Baro demonstrated this plain and simple in this episode!

In team X's case Barou becoming the spearhead of the attack made team X function as a unit.
One of the many qualities of a top striker, Barou becoming the focal point of his team gave direction to team X's plays.

Although this was a sore loss, it will teach them "a strikers selfishness is not trying to do everything in their own".

Isagi's subconscious pass

Isagi was slated by Barou and labelled as a "failure of a striker" for passing the ball to Kunigami instead of trying to create space & shooting the ball for himself.

The pass resulted in the only goal for team Z, it was one of the most sensible options available to Isagi at that moment but what does it mean for him as a striker?

There was nothing wrong in that play, even top top level strikers pass the ball when they feel like their teammates are in a better position than they are. But the fact that the pass was "subconscious" means goal scoring or being selfish doesn't come naturally to Isagi.

We saw this in the 1st episode.
Isagi's natural instincts are to look for a pass rather than taking the initiative to shoot the ball for himself.

It all sums up into one point, Isagi is not a natural goalscorer and doesn't fit the ideal striker J.Ego wants to create for the Japanese national team.

Isagi needs the art of goal scoring & the "weapon" J.Ego mentioned can be the thing that induces his individuality & ego.

So far, Isagi is definitely acting more like a #10 rather than #9.
Bachira is natural #8 while Kunigami and Raichi are natural wingers.
The team still doesn't have Haaland.

This conclusion only comes because you (they) don't know what lies ahead after the 1st selection.

Ego want's all of them to focus on winning first even if they have to swallow their pride and not become the teams forward for the time.
